I arrived early at the pub and met Gregg. Before I entered the pub in the street
outside I felt a lot of activity and I sensed Horses. The feelings I had were
that of hopelessness and fear.
10.05 On entering the pub I was
greeted By the Land lady Jaycee. I immediately picked up a presence of a man. His presence was one of sadness. He was
present just inside the door as you walk in

I passed through the Bar to the second room. I had my back to this room because I could
feel the presence of a woman. An angry woman who is looking for someone or something.
I felt this presence stroke my hair.
10.30 Greg and I entered the kitchen. It was
in semi darkness. After a while I could feel an atmosphere in this room. I thought I
could feel the presence of two young children. Gregg felt these presences two. I could also smell horses.
We then used the dowsing
rods and picked up the information of two children from the 17Century aged between five and seven
10.45 Greg could feel gentle pushing on his legs and tickling on his back. Theses children were very mischievous and full of fun.
11pm Gail and Sahara arrived. And they to could fell the presences of children.
Ollie(myself) then felt
a large push from behind and stumbled was witnessed by Greg Gail and Sahara. The
four of us heard clicking movements in the Kitchen. We then set up
some trigger objects, which were old pre-decimal coins on a tray.
11.45 1 then picked up the presence of a middle-aged woman possibly A Tudor or Elizabethan lady in a long fitted dress with loose
sleeves to the elbows. The area around me went cold and the emf meter was very loud. Greg Sahara and Gail witnessed this
Midnight My coat, which was on the
table, fell to the floor. All the things on top of my coat stayed put. It was as if an invisible hand held the towels on top as another hand pulled the coat of the table. Gregg Gail and Sahara witnessed this
12.05.1Gail felt a tapping on her leg in response to names for the
children. We called out names and Gail felt the responses. We came up with the names Mathew and Effie. Rose and Tom then
entered the Kitchen.
12.15.1The rest of the investigation came.
The pub had emptied and we began setting the equipment infrared cameras, monitors, sensors etc.
12.30
I interviewed the Landlord. His name is John Jowlitt
and he has been the Landlord for over 10 years.
He has seen many un-explained events in his pub. Gregg recorded this interview. The landlord actually backed up some
of the finding I had come up with previously. He explained that outside the pub the Bolton Massacre had taken place in 1551 and many people were trampled
to death or crushed by horses. This was the for-boding and fear I felt
before I entered the Pub.
He then went on to say
that the earl of Derby a man James Stanley was executed outside the Pub and spent his last few earthly hours in the front
rooms of the pub. This is believed to be figure that haunts the area around
the front door.
His wife
Lady Charlotte is said to haunt the back room were the Lord derby Chair. Axe
and wooden chopping block are in a display cabinet. There is a picture of lady
Charlotte on the toilet door and this was very
similar to the one I felt in the Kitchen.
The landlord said a
few years ago a little girl came in age about 5 and said to her mum. That her other mother Charlotte was in the room with
her. This young girl picked Lady Charlotte out from a book.
The landlord said that
said many staff had felt presences. Glasses have moved. Employees have a feeling
of being watched. Hot flushes areas of Ice cold in the Bar area. Doors opening on their own etc
He then went onto describe
young women who had her hand covered in blood. There was no wound and the blood appeared from nowhere.
Other un-explained activities
have happened there, John the landlord used to rent the front room of the pub
to a spiritual healer. One day a lady came in who had lost her sense of smell. The healer attended to her and she returned saying her sense of smell had come back.
The Healer died recently. (I believe his presence is still here because this
room fells so calm and peaceful)
I told John I could
smell horses in the Kitchen and he laughed. The kitchen was in fact the Old stables
and was only incorporated into the main building in 1920 when the old courtyard was made into another bar. So Yes I had been right to smell horses in the Kitchen. It
was probably the stonewall theory, This is when the building has recorded some information and it stays in the fabric of the
building.

First Séance All the members of the investigation were present
in the second room. We took out Lord Derby’s Chair, the chopping block of wood and
the axe. The room was illuminated with candles. Myself (Ollie) started the séance with the protection ritual. During the séance many Orbs were caught on camera in this room although no communication existed with any presence. A
few noises were heard etc. Rose tried to communicate and so did Gregg but we get a presence to acknowledge us. The séance was then closed.

Steve tried an experiment with Lord Derby’s Chair. We
wanted to see if an entity could move the chair Gregg, Jaycee, Ward, Stevie and Myself were present. We lightly put our finger on the chair and asked it to move. After a short while the chair started to vibrate. Then the chair started to creak and tried to move.
Finally the chair rocked from side to side. You could really feel the
energy coming from the chair, Jaycee said I was the most frightening experience she ever had

We all stopped for a break and the investigation split into
two groups. Gail Sahara. Rose Greg Tom and myself went into the area at the back
of the bar where it had been converted in the 1920’s. I could smell a very
strong smell of tobacco . It was so strong it made me cough Rose also smelt tobacco
here.. We decided to go near the Ladies toilet and there was a very cold spot
here. We checked it on the emf meter and it went of the scale. All of the investigator in this group could feel this very cold air circling around. This was possibly a vortex. This links the presences or activity from one dimension to another. Myself(Ollie)
was pushed forward very violently from the Kitchen. I felt this was the presence
of a lady.
4.30
The investigation ended. We checked the trigger objects but they had not moved. So we then packed up all the equipment and went home.
My
own personal feelings on this public house are that it is extremely active with Para-normal activity. It displays all the characteristics of a haunted location. Since
visiting this building the staff has experienced other phenomenon. Such as glasses shattering when being filled with Beer.
